AFF launches New Hampshire television ad urging energy security vote

Des Moines, IA – As part of its ongoing national energy security effort, American Future Fund (AFF) today launched its latest television ad, “Hurting,” in New Hampshire.  The television advertisement highlights the public policy positions of Senator John Sununu and former governor Jeanne Shaheen on energy security solutions designed to deal with rising energy costs.  The advertisement also encourages Senator Sununu to work to pass the Gas Price Reduction Act in the Senate.

The ad produced by McCarthy Marcus Hennings is the latest in a series of energy security advertisements ran by the American Future Fund encouraging the Congress to vote on legislation that will address this national challenge.  AFF has also aired television and radio advertisements on this issue in Colorado, Nevada, and Washington, D.C.  To hear those ads, click here.

S. 3202, The Gas Price Reduction Act, is a comprehensive energy security package now pending in the U.S. Senate.

The television advertisement began airing statewide on New Hampshire television stations on Wednesday.

The ad can be viewed at http://www.youtube.com/americanfuturefund.

“There is no greater issue for New Hampshire and America currently than dealing with rising energy costs,” said AFF Communications Director Tim Albrecht. “AFF encourages New Hampshire residents to learn where their leaders stand on this important issue.”

The ad is a continuation of AFF’s “America First Energy Agenda,” where thousands of Americans from across the country have signed a petition that AFF will deliver to lawmakers, calling on them to eliminate our dependence on foreign oil.

The script of the ad is as follows:

ANNCR:

New Hampshire families are hurting from record gas prices.

But Jeanne Shaheen opposes exploring huge American oil reserves – offshore, and in Alaska.

While the U.S. remains dependent on foreign oil…and the Wall Street Journal says gas could go to six bucks a gallon.

John Sununu cosponsored tax credits for renewable energy.  And Sununu supports safe exploration off our costs.

Call Sununu – encourage him to pass S. 3202 – for energy security.
