American Future Fund calls for the immediate resignation of Secretary Geithner

(DES MOINES) – The American Future Fund today called for the immediate resignation of Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner, sending a nationwide petition to their members. The petition signatures will be sent to the White House.

“In a struggling economy, you don’t need a Secretary of Distraction,” said AFF Communications Director Tim Albrecht. “Secretary Geithner’s troubling personal tax record, combined with the absolute mockery he has made of the TARP process, has substantially reduced the effectiveness and confidence of his position.

“AFF and our members are sending a clear message to Secretary Geithner: It’s time to resign.”

With this petition, American Future Fund becomes the largest, highest profile group to date to call on Geithner to resign. AFF has active membership and donors in all 50 states, and continues to pursue conservative, free-market solutions to fix America’s ailing economy.
