DES MOINES, IA – The American Future Fund (AFF) AG Project continues its efforts to highlight the nation’s top state attorneys general and their work defending constitutional principles and the rule of law by spotlighting South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson.
Alan Wilson was sworn into office in January 2011 as South Carolina’s Attorney General. As attorney general, Wilson has worked to keep South Carolina families safe and defend the Constitution, assembling a coalition of state and local law enforcement officials to advance legislative priorities. Among Wilson’s priorities have been defending South Carolina’s right-to-work laws, leading a multi-state challenge to Obamacare, and advance common-sense solutions to ensure mass violence is prevented.
Nick Ryan, Founder of AFF, said: “Attorney General Wilson has been a national leader and example for his peers across the nation with his defense of limited government and our Constitution. General Wilson has been on the forefront in opposing government overreach and finding commonsense solutions to the problems facing the people of South Carolina. The people of South Carolina should feel secure that the Palmetto State’s top law enforcement official is working to defend their rights and liberties in Columbia.”
AFF established an online home for The AG Project, http://americanfuturefund.com/agproject, where further updates on the work of state attorneys general, Attorney General spotlights, and multimedia campaigns from The AG Project will be posted. During the 2012 election cycle, AFF’s AG Project was heavily involved in highlighting the work of incumbent attorneys general and candidates for attorney general, most notably in West Virginia where challenger Patrick Morrisey (R-WV) scored a surprise victory in November.
Earlier this year, AFF’s AG Project highlighted Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli.
