American Future Fund released a web ad today titled “New York Bob” highlighting Bob Kerrey’s dissociation with Nebraskan voters.

For more than a decade, Kerrey has been away from Nebraska, living in New York City.  Now he’s back and wants Nebraskans to send him to Washington as their Senator.  He says he is going to “tell Nebraskans what I think our country needs to do.”

The ad points out just how out of touch he has become with Nebraska voters and their values.  Kerrey has expressed his support for ObamaCare, the constitutionally questionable, budget busting health care plan.  He also supports cap and trade – making energy more expensive for consumers.  Certainly not policies most Nebraskans would agree with.

“Kerrey’s liberal anti-job, tax raising policies are simply out of touch with Nebraska voters,” stated AFF Founder Nick Ryan.  ”Working Nebraskan families don’t need to be told by a New Yorker what our country needs to do.  They know and could teach Bob Kerrey a thing or two.”

The ad tells viewers to call New York Bob and tell him he needs to get to know Nebraska again.

VO: New York Bob.  He supports cap and trade—to make energy more expensive!

Kerrey: You talk about cap and trade killing jobs, what if the temperature goes up 3% of the planet?
