Attorney General Spotlight

Luther Strange was sworn into office in January 2011 as Alabama's 49th Attorney General. Prior to serving as attorney general, Strange was a private practice attorney, emerging as one of the Southeast's leading economic development attorneys.

As attorney general, Strange has worked as a tireless opponent of the President's healthcare law - "Obamacare" - and in opposition to the EPA's attempts to impose job-killing regulations on the people of Alabama Strange has been committed to serving Alabama as the coordinating counsel for the Gulf States in the litigation against BP for the oil spill.

Attorney General Strange earned his undergraduate and law degrees from Tulane University and is an Eagle Scout.
