About Us

The American Future Fund operates as a 501(c)(4) and was formed to provide Americans with a conservative and free market viewpoint to have a mechanism to communicate and advocate on the issues that most interest and concern them. Conservative and free market principles will be under direct attack in America. In light of that, it is imperative there be a voice for conservative principles that sustains free market ideals focused on bolstering America’s global competitiveness across the country.

The American Future Fund is established as a multi- state issues advocacy group designed to effectively communicate conservative and free market ideals.

The American Future Fund will continue to educate citizens across the country on common conservative principles.

Board of Directors

Sandra Greiner, President
Sandra is a former state legislator and is an Iowa farmer. Before being elected to the state Legislature, Sandra was a volunteer for a variety of agricultural groups and grassroots political organizations. While in the Legislature, Sandra fought against tax increases and worked to preserve conservative, free-market ideals for all Iowans.

Barbara Smeltzer, Treasurer
Barbara is a life-long conservative grassroots activist. She has served in a variety of leadership roles in community, civic and political organizations. Barbara is a retired teacher with a passion for education.

Katherine Polking, Director
Katherine is a former Congressional aide, having worked in both the US Senate and House for Republican members of Iowa’s Congressional delegation. She is a graduate of the University of Iowa.

Cord Overton, Young Conservative Liaison
Cord is a 2009 graduate of Iowa State University and is currently working in the Teach for America program. In addition to his teaching activities, Cord remains active in his family’s horse farm and business.
